Oh I’m so excited to share Sara & Alex’s wedding with all of you! I met Sara while we were in Penn State (We are!) since I’m good friends with her sister Lara. Sara was a bride after my own heart with her love for hot pink, details and of course her new husband!
Oh how I love a dress with a lot of pouf!
There were so many little neat details throughout the day that I just loved capturing! Lara surprised Sara by making her a hanger for her wedding dress. (Yes she made it!) And the wishing well that Sara’s beautiful wedding dress is hanging on was built by her grandfather.
Aren’t those flowers just beautiful!? Sara didn’t just have one or two colors, she had five! Black, hot pink, red, coral and yellow. Just wait till you see how she incorporated all of them!
Another detail: Sara and Alex’s rings are sitting on Sara’s great-grandmother’s handkerchief.
Here’s how Sara incorporated all of her colors! The bridesmaids wore black dresses and the same necklaces, earrings and similar style shoes in “their color”. Even their bouquet’s stems were wrapped in “their color”. Doesn’t it look awesome?
Then the groomsmen wore coordinating color ties to the bridesmaids. Except for Alex who wore the classic black.
Ahhh Sara! You know how to work it, girl!
Stoverdale United Methodist Church was one of the smallest churches I’ve been in. But it had so much character and was so cute, plus it was built by Sara’s great-great-grandfather.
I just want to say thank you again to this bridal party again for tramping through the fresh cut yard, bugs and heat for this picture. I knew it was worth it!
Sara and Alex picked the perfect Saturday to get married! The blossoms were still on the tree and it wasn’t too hot or cold.
Once we had finished up with the portraits it was time for the party to begin at Sunset Golf Course with Mixmaster DJ Productions.
Before the night ended we stepped outside for a few last portraits as the sun set over the golf course.
