I love portrait sessions because they fill in the time between weddings. It allows me to switch up what I’m shooting and have some fun with families, kids and babies : )
The cherry blossoms didn’t last long this year, but I got out with some of my photographer friends from Spark so we could shoot headshots for each other.
Mekina’s boyfriend came at the end of the shoot so they could get some shots together.
Amy brought her daughter, Audrey, for some mommy & daughter pictures. So cute!
I don’t normally do newborn portraits, but I take the time to practice whenever my friends have babies. Little Lucy was the perfect little sleeping model.
We had some fun dressing up Lucy Rey : )
I always love taking pictures of this spunky little red head.
Elle became a big sister to Cece this year.
I also love practicing newborn sessions with my friends’ babies because I can take all day and not feel bad that I’m moving slow or figuring out the lighting. Chelsy had so many bows and outfits for Cece that we could have taken pictures for a week!
I think this is my favorite 2016 portrait!
I was so fortunate to go home to Pittsburgh this year to shoot weddings that I got to squeeze in some portraits as well of friends.
Our friend Christine celebrated her 30th birthday by throwing a fabulous party outside on a farm. It was definitely the perfect way to celebrate 30!
Then I ended 2016 with some portraits of some little ones celebrating their first birthday.
We took some cute family portraits during Jack’s one year old session. That light!
